200 gm butter
125 gm sugar
100 gm brown sugar
2 tsp al alali Vanilla Powder
1/2 tsp salt
150 gm almonds, finely ground
500 gm flour
300 gm al alali Raspberry Jam
al alali Icing Sugar
  • Pre-heat oven at 150°c ( 300°F)
  • Blend sugars and butter in blender, add al alali Vanilla and salt, mix well
  • Add ground almonds and flour, blend until doughy. Refrigerate half dough 30 minutes
  • Layer remaining dough in greased pan. Bake for 20 minutes or until crusty. Remove from oven and spread al alali Raspberry Jam
  • Sprinkle refrigerated dough over al alali Raspberry Jam, return to oven and bake for 30 minutes more
  • Cool, sprinkle al alali Icing Sugar and cut into squares
  • Serve and enjoy!
