Light Apricot Bars

175 gm unsalted butter
150 gm brown sugar
2 egg whites
1/2 tsp al alali Vanilla Powder
400 gm flour
1/2 tsp al alali Baking Powder
100 gm chopped mixed nuts
200 gm al alali Light Apricot Jam
  • Pre-heat oven at 180°C ( 360°F)
  • In a blender, mix butter and sugar until creamy. Add egg whites and al alali Vanilla Powder
  • Add flour and al alali Baking Powder, gradually mix into butter mixture; add mixed nuts. Mix well until dough easy to spared
  • Bring lightly greased baking pan, and press 3/4 of nuts dough into it. Spread al alali Light Apricot Jam equally, then add remaining batter on top
  • Bake for 35 minutes or until golden brown. Cut into bars after cooling
  • Arrange in serving plate, serve and enjoy!
